Moon Beams #1 - J.D. Isip
My friend #poet & #instructor Dr. J. D. Isip is the 1st guest on a new project I'm kicking off called "Moon Beams," inspired & supported by my friends Ellen Webre, Eric Morago, and Moon Tide Press.
I'm finding it fun to explore different poet's inspiration points in these quick little interviews I'll be sharing here, my website LoudOwl.org, my Instagram accounts @bestcoastgreg and @gregwriting.
It's also an honor to explore what each poet is finding to be exciting about #poetry at this time, & their opinions on how culture's view of poetry could be changed for the better.
I'm excited to share that this series is growing fast & strong, & I welcome all DMs about poets who might be interested in jumping into this party soon.
We covered a lot pretty quickly in our chat, & when I asked J.D. to share a passage of poetry that has hit deep & stayed with him, the following from James Davis May met the request beautifully:
"The lie is that seeing the world without you
will make enduring this world easier."
Many thanks to J.D. for everything he does as an artist & leader in the poetry world & everyone @ #moontidepress.
Much more to come soon, #payattention & #readmore & #writemorepoetry everybody.
