Moon Beams #2 - Annakai Hayakawa Geshlider

My friend poet and journalist Annakai Hayakawa Geshlider joined me for episode #2 of Moon Beams, where she spoke to "the amazing word power" of Tongo Eisen-Martin, the pure approach young people have to #poetry without a thought given to being good or bad at it, and more.

Annakai was also generous enough to share this remarkable line from the poem "Mother's Day Night" by Sesshu Foster, which comes on as haunting as it does stilling, unsettling and powerful, which I offer to praise a line I find remarkable, too:

"It rises behind the daylight like a mole rubbed between two fingertips, like a big river coming around a bend in the dark."

Gratitude to Annakai for her energy, time, & creativity, & to Kaya Press #kayapress for publishing Annakai's work.

Stay tuned for more very soon, #writemore & #payattention & #choosekindnesswhenitstoughto, everybody.
